South America is rich in cultural heritage and history.

Although Peru is best known as the heart of the Inca empire, it was also home to many diverse indigenous cultures long before the Incas arrived. Although there is evidence of human habitation in Peru as long ago as the eighth millennium BC, there is little evidence of organized village life until about 2500 BC, where Peruvian civilization developed into a number of organized cultures.

The complex decline of some cultures and rise of others, have left modern day man to marvel and wonder at the legacy of skills in ceramics and weaving, including mysteries such as the immense and cryptic Nazca Lines.

Other highlights include the floating islands of Lake Titicaca, watching the great Condor in the Colca Canyons, exploring the local markets and village life.

Heaven Must Wait will take you on a cultural voyage through the ancient cultures of Peruvian Andes and its surroundings.
